  • Development of two interactive contents
  • Electronic interface for synchronizing the content with nearby elevator

A permanent interactive installation built around a huge LED screen inside a shopping complex, composed of two distinct contents.

The first was a real-time physics simulation where visitors could interact with a set of 3D objects directly from the floor in front of the screen. The system tracked people's movements with enough sensitivity that even a subtle gesture or a child running past was enough to send the objects colliding into each other. Intuitive without any instruction, it became particularly popular with kids.

The second content was synchronized with a nearby elevator. As someone rode it, a representation of the elevator moved in real time on the LED screen, doors opening and closing in perfect sync with the actual cabin. Though I brought the concept to the project, it also fell on me to find a technical way to make it work, which required building a custom electronic interface to retrieve the elevator's state data and feed it back into the content system.
