A temporary installation at Tokyo International Forum, combining projection mapping on the wall with a 6-meter dolphin-shaped balloon floating through the atrium. I developed an interactive piece from a design by Daisuke Hashimoto. Instead of detecting people, the system tracked the location of the floating dolphin. In order to do so, I built a custom tracking system based on infrared cameras and an infrared beacon. This allowed the wall projection to display a dolphin animation synchronized with the real one's position, creating a sense of unity between the physical and projected space.
