Development of a cutout filter for Nuke, used in an animation production to give 3D rendered geometry an anime-style look. The plugin's main challenge was temporal stability: a standard cutout approach tends to suffer from repeatability issues from frame to frame, so a significant part of the R&D process focused on keeping the effect consistent over time.
