Real-Time Virtual Character System at SEGA Joypolis (Shanghai and Tokyo)
SEGA Live Creation - http://www.sega-live.com
- Development and integration of an original system with a convenient workflow for content creators
- Real-time full body motion capture and rendering, support of Lip sync
- Support of multiple characters and props
The virtual character system was completely rewritten, using the Unity game engine for rendering. While the original system was dedicated to a single character, this new version supported alternate characters too. I was responsible for the system design and programming, as well as the installation. The After Effects plugin used for preparing the stage's projection mapping data was also updated.
